House Rules at Zazil Retreat

For check-out you have time until 12:00, and check-in starts at 15:00.

Any reservation requires a 10% deposit in advance. The full charge must be paid on arrival. All payments need to be in cash, and in Mexican Pesos, please.

The nearest cashiers are in Zipolite and Mazunte. In high season, they run out of cash frequently.

Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 11:00 at our lounge. No room-service is offered.

A continental breakfast is already included in our room rates. We can offer you additional breakfasts on demand, at an extra cost.

We also offer you dinner and lunch on demand. It has to be requested at least 24 hours in advance, and it has to be for a minimum of 4 persons.

As Zazil is a retreat where people come to enjoy nature and silence, no children under 10 years are allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

We do not allow pets at Zazil Retreat. Thank you for your understanding.

Silence is mandatory after 23:00, to guarantee rest and peace for all our guests.

It is not allowed to smoke inside our bungalows and rooms. Lighting candles and the use of fireworks is strictly prohibited.

To avoid that your room is invaded by ants and insects, we ask you not to bring food to your room.

Please help us to save water and electricity. Turn off lights and ventilators when leaving the room.

Please return your room keys when leaving Zazil Retreat.

There is a personal safe in every room at zazil Retreat. Please use it, Zazil will not take responsibility for any lost items.

Make sure to take care of your safe key. For lost keys, there is a charge of $500 Mexican Pesos.

Our bungalows are built with lots of natural materials. To avoid gas flames and hazards with it, there is no hot water at Zazil Retreat. Since we have very warm temperatures in San Agustinillo all year round, this is no problem for most guests.

Please take your shoes off to enjoy the hammocks you can find everywhere at Zazil Retreat.
